This Privacy Policy explains how Investigation Flow ("we", "us") handles information for this free web timestamp tool (the "Tool") at this site. Questions? Email chris@systumboost.com.
Information we handle
- Videos you upload. We process them only to burn in the timestamp and return your MP4. Uploaded files and outputs live in a temporary folder and are automatically deleted: your original upload is removed as soon as it has been processed, and the finished file within about an hour. Nothing is saved to a database or cloud storage, and we do not view, share, or use your videos for any other purpose.
- Name and email. If you continue past the free conversion limit, we ask for your name and email. We store these and add them to our email list (via MailerLite) so we can send you updates and offers about the Investigation Flow desktop app. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Usage analytics. We use PostHog to count actions (such as conversions, uploads, and downloads) and basic visit data so we can improve the Tool. We configure it without advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Local browser storage. We store your interface preferences (theme, appearance settings) and your free-usage count in your browser's local storage so the Tool works smoothly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Tool (process and return your video).
- To understand usage and improve the Tool.
- To contact you about the Investigation Flow product, if you provided your email.
Service providers
We share the minimum necessary with providers that help us run the Tool: our hosting provider, MailerLite (email list), PostHog (analytics), and Supabase (the database where your contact details are stored). We do not sell your information.
Retention
Uploaded videos and outputs are deleted automatically (typically within an hour). Email-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails any time via the link in any email we send.
- Access or deletion: email chris@systumboost.com to request a copy of, or deletion of, your contact information.
- Clear your browser's local storage to remove locally stored preferences.
Children
The Tool is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
